ENTERED APPRENTICE

Entered Apprentice Candidate Guide
T
his handbook was developed to introduce the newly initiated Entered Apprentice Mason to the vast body of knowledge and symbolism associated with modernFreemasonry in a meaningful and understandable way. It is hopedthat through the serious and systematic study of Freemasonry, the Entered Apprentice will come to understand and appreciatethe fact that the actual application of Masonic teachings andprinciples in his daily life is the most important and rewarding aspect of his new journey. It is recommended that the handbook be read as soon as possibleafter your initiation into the craft. It should continue to be usedas a guide and reference as you increase your understanding of the unique life lessons and philosophy of Masonry. As you makenew discoveries on your path toward Masonic enlightenment, you will be able to observe many things already “known” in a new and entirely different light, with an appreciation that washeretofore denied you. For this reason, the study of the Masonicmysteries is a lifetime journey. A journey only but just begun when “in your heart” you first desired to join that ancientbrotherhood—the fraternity of Freemasons. Your Masonicjourney is now begun. You will, my brother, by your own will, deeds, and labor, determine where it ends.
