Simple Statement of Conduct:
The classroom is a place of learning and all students areexpected to be fully engaged in learning at all times while exhibiting respect and care for theopportunity for all students to learn.
Class Rules, Rewards and ConsequencesRewards:
School Supplies or Treats
Certificates
Teacher approval to participate in team activities
Teacher consent to attend special field trips
Consequences:
First Infraction: Warning (verbal reprimand/GradeBook notation)
Second Infraction: Parent phone call and/or detention
Third Infraction: Parent Conference
Fourth Infraction: Referred to an Administrator for disciplinary action
Detentions:
are served before or after school at the
teacher’s convenience.
When adetention is issued, it
must
be served. Parents must make all necessary transportationarrangements prior to the date. Failure to serve can result in disciplinary action by anadministrator.
Attendance:
In the event of an absence, it is the student’s responsibility to make up all missedassignments. This includes missing class due to a field trip or any other type of activity.Students must check for missed assignments as soon as they return to school. If the studentneeds help understanding a concept they missed while absent, they should attend Coaching andEnrichment after school or morning tutoring. If the student misses a test, they must schedule adate and time to make up the exam. Students have up to 2 weeks to make up an assignmentmissed due to absence from class. After 2 weeks, the assignment grade becomes a zero.
Class Procedures and PoliciesHomelearning:
The goal of homelearning is to provide the student with the opportunity tostrengthen a skill or concept learned in class, or prepare the student for the next lesson.Homelearning will only be accepted the day it is due (except in the case of an excused absence.)Missing assignments will result in a zero. Late assignments will not be accepted. Homelearning will be checked daily and graded at the teacher’s discretion.
Extra Credit:
Students can receive 1 extra credit grade, per week, by completing online quizzesin conjunction with the topics covered in class. Details will be discussed in class and areavailable on my web page @http://mrsedanospage.blogspot.com
Grading:
Evaluation will be based on homelearning, classwork, pop-quizzes, tests, classparticipation, projects, etc. It is the student’s responsibility to seek assistance if they do notunderstand the material taught in class. Students can attend Coaching and Enrichment afterschool or morning tutoring for help.

A 90-100 3.50-4.00B 80-89 2.50-3.49C 70-79 1.50-2.49D 60-69 1.00-1.49F 00-59 0.00-0.99
