1. What type of organisational structure was operational in NHI? Conceptualise the structure through pictorial illustration.

Since New Holland had a process centric work layout to produce customized solutions to its customers hence the organization was structured to be team and process based. It was to function as a barrier less flexible organization with great communication across teams, to have speedy decision making and quick deliverables. The organizational structure was of a lean and flat organization, where work could be done across teams efficiently without boundaries and there would be little or no hierarchy to facilitate cross functional teams building high value products. For this a structure was designed with only 5 designations to accommodate its employees, All blue collar workers were called as Associates with no differentiation between them.
