XP - Video - Hardware Acceleration 
Checking Hardware Acceleration in Windows XP
 
1) On your desktop right click the mouse and then left click on the properties tab. 2) The Display properties window should appear. Click on the settings tab at the top of thewindow and then click on the advanced tab at the bottom.
 
 3) The video card properties window will come up. Click on the Troubleshoot at the top and youwill see the Hardware Acceleration option. Try adjusting this setting for best performance with our applications.
