ThismethodisusedwhentheTORSIONparameterisspecifiedasone(1). ThismethodisintendedtobeasimplifiedstresscheckfortorsionaleffectsperCl.6.2.7(5).Any warpingstressesthatmaydevelopduetotheendconditionswillbeignoredforthisoption.The programwillconsidertheforces(includingtorsion)atvarioussectionsalongthelengthofthe memberandforeachsection,willcalculatetheresultantstress(VonMieses)atvariouspointson thecrosssection.Thelocationandnumberofpointscheckedforacrosssectionwilldependonthe crosssectiontypeandwillbeasdescribedbelow. Thestresscheckwillbeperformedusingequation6.1ofEN199311:2005asgivenbelow:
