well mixed blood was drawn up to 0.5 mark and RBC diluting fluid was taken up to mark II. The fluid blood mixture was shaken and transferred onto the counting chamber. The cells were allowed to settle to the bottom of the chamber for 2 min. See the fluid does not get dried.
