Animal survival depends on highly developed sensory abilities.Likewise, human cognition depends on highly developed abilities toperceive, integrate, and interpret visual, auditory, and touch information.Without a doubt, computers would be much more powerful if they hadeven a small fraction of the perceptual ability of animals or humans.Adding such perceptual abilities to computers would enable computersand humans to work together more as partners. Imagine yourself in a worldwhere humans interact with computers. You are sitting in front of your personal computer that can listen, talk, or even scream aloud. It has the ability to gather information about you and interactwith you through special techniques like facial recognition, speechrecognition, etc. It can even understand your emotions at the touch of the mouse. It verifies your identity, feels your presence, and startsinteracting with you .You ask the computer to dial to your friend at his office. It realizes the urgency of the situation through the mouse, dials yourfriend at his office, and establishes a connection. Blue Eyes uses sensingtechnology to identify a user's actions and to extract key information. Thisinformation is then analyzed to determine the user's physical, emotional,or informational state, which in turn can be used to help make theuser more productive by performing expected actions or by providingexpected information. For example, in future a Blue Eyes-enabled televisioncould become active when the user makes eye contact, at which point theuser could then tell the television to "turn on". This paper is about thehardware, software, benefits and interconnection of various parts involvedin the “blue eye” technology. Toward this end, the Blue Eyes aims atcreating computational devices with the sort of perceptual abilitiesEmploying most modern video cameras and microphones to identify theusers actions through the use of imparted sensory abilities . The machinecan understand what a user wants, where he is looking at, and even
realize his physical or emotional states that people take for granted .Blueeyes is being developed by the team of Poznan University of Technology&Microsoft. It makes use of the “blue tooth technology” developed byEricsson
Blue eyes system monitors the status of the operator’s visual attentionthrough measurement of saccadic activity. The system checks parameterslike heart beat rate and blood oxygenation against abnormal and triggersuser defined alarms.BlueEyes system consists of a mobile measuring device and a centralanalytical system. The mobile device is integrated with Bluetooth moduleproviding wireless interface between sensors worn by the operator and thecentral unit. ID cards assigned to each of the operators and adequate userprofiles on the central unit side provide necessary data personalization so The system consists of
