    Windows Wordpad is a basic word processor, but has a number of functions which cannot be found using the menus and mouse or even through the Help or web. The keyboard shortcuts listed work on highlighted areas of text. Remember that holding down Shift when moving the cursor will highlight the tex between the points. One well-hidden possibility is to select from a range of bullet styles by using Ctrl + Shift + L; another is to change line spacing by using Ctrl + 1,2 or 5.

    A Select all
    B Bold
    C Copy
    E Centre alignment
    F Find
    H Replace
    I Italics
    L Left alignment
    N New file
    O Open file
    P Print
    R Right alignment
    S Save
    U Underline
    V Paste
    X Cut
    Y Redo
    Z Undo

    1 Single line spacing


    2 Double line spacing
    5 One and a half line spacing

    = Changes text to subscript


     Move cursor to the beginning of next word
     Move cursor to beginning of the previous word
     Move cursor to the beginning of the next paragraph
     Move cursor to beginning of previous paragraph

    Ctrl while dragging an item copies it


    Ctrl while turning the scroll wheel changes the font size

    Ctrl + Shift +
    arrows highlights a block of text
    L repeated cycles through bulleting styles
    , reduces font size
    . increases font size
    = changes text to superscript
