Soon, Music Week event began, followed by theheart-beating contest which Chloe been selected to. Shehad to compete with some seniors and also (OMG) theGang!! What a shock it is!! But Chloe, as usual, didn’t mindall that. What matters is that you get to perform on stage infront of the audience and get to show all of them thetalents you got. When Chloe passed to one of the rooms, shenoticed a familiar voice and it was indeed Jenny and hergang. Chloe was surprised to herself to have the urge toeavesdrop but still, the conversation grew a bit infuriating and Chloe couldn’t help it but hear it of what they say.“You girls had no brains at all!” Yeap, it was Jenny, talking to her other gang.
“I’m
supposed to be thewinner and why not you just surrender yourself and let
me
win? God! Didn’t you guys know who
I
am!!?” Silence.Chloe pressed her ears a little harder to hear more.“Jen, how dare you say that to us?” That usualcheerful like tone of Amy that Chloe recognized changedto a shock and outraged tone. “We know who you are, richand famous girl in the academy, but
this
is a competition. One has to compete another, not one needs to force theother to give up and let the one win. That’s
so
unfair!!”Amy’s outraged reply followed by a serious complaintfrom the other girls. Chloe knew immediately that sheneeds to be ready, not to mention warm up and
liquid
herfingers. She also knew that the closed friendship of thegang had finally met its end. She took a last blank look atthe door and with a deep breath; she trotted to thebackstage to queue up.A few minutes later, the gang had finallyshowed up, Amy positioned herself before Chloe herself.
