Greyskull Backstory As you all know, I am a wizard.

That shouldve been my first warning sign to turn around and go back home as I shifted into the human world. 3 people were surrounded by a small band of roving Orcs: 2 Humans, one a wizard, another Human as an archer and (ugh!), A Dwarven priest. Greyskull! No! screamed the Wizard. Scratch that, 1 human and 1 stupid dwarf. Archer just got his skull caved in by a mace. I could help, but it was the policy of my family to not interfere in mortal affairs. Then again, I never was a very good Eladrin.

Eladrin: powerful, wise, and immortal extra-dimensional beings that have been personified as gods by some of the mortal races; and then theres Maelaran. An Eladrin as unlike an Eladrin as there ever was. Instead of magic or swordsplay, he chose to instead focus on the finer aspects of archery. Instead of possessing ethereal beauty and majestic grace, he was an embodiment of mediocrity. Instead of choosing a fey-wyrm or faerie as a Soul-Companion, Maelaran chose a pet rock and named it Mason. While 200 is ancient by human years, for the Eladrin, Maelaran was still considered to be barely more than a child. Yet, because of all his shortcomings in the Fey World, the Mortal Plane became more and more appealing with each passing day. It was inevitable then, only armed with a meagre knowledge of the outside world and his trusty bow, that he left his home, and past, behind him.

Smirking, I plucked two arrows from my quiver and (briefly considering hitting the dwarf and claiming it as an accident) and fired both at the same time. The arrows screamed across the night and drove themselves into the base of the skulls of two of the attacking Orcs.

The remaining four Orcs cried out in confusion as they saw two of their comrades struck down by a seemingly invisible sniper. The Wizard and Dwarf quickly

regained their wits (well, what little the Dwarves have anyway) and engaged the remaining members. 2 minutes and 4 more arrows later, the Orcs were all slain.

Ghosting silently through the dense brush, I stepped out into the clearing to face the Wizard and Dwarf. An Eladrin! exclaimed the Wizard. I never expected to see one of your kind out here, much less saving our sorry asses A bit crude, but more polite than I thought hed be. Careful, LaForge, these Eladrin are a crafty sort. They wouldnt save us without a reason Asshole, I knew I shouldve shot you first. Peace, Brother Dwarf, this is my first foray into the Human world and when I saw your band under attack, I simply wanted to lend my assistance. I am sorry, however, that I was not in time to save your friend. Eh, he was a shitty archer anyway said LaForge nonchalantly. Wow, great friend. In fact, continued LaForge, Our party seems to have its Archer position open. Would be interested? My name is Mae-uh, BowJangles. Smooth, nice name choice idiot. Well, its not as bad as their Archers name at least. I would like to see more of this world, and itd be safer in a group; that is, if Brother Dwarf would be willing to accept me into it? Dorian, and Im not your Brother, BowJangles sneering at my new name. (Dick!) Your skills seem sound though, but, Ill be watching you

Its settled then! Welcome to the team BowJangles! exclaimed LaForge as he clapped his hands together.

We looted the Orcs and their fallen friend as we prepared to leave for the nearest village. While rummaging through the Archers bags, LaForge got a curious look on his face and turned towards me: You know, Greyskull would fit you much better than BowJangles That, shouldve been my second warning.
