Program Goals
•
Keep Priorities Straight
o
Family, religion, and academics come before basketball.
•
Be a Great Student

If we don’t perform well in the classroom, we will not have a chance to perform well on the court. Academics will open more doors than basketball. Together, they can open almost any door.
•
Be a Great Person
o
Do the right thing and make great decisions regardless of who, if anyone,is watching.
•
Be a Great Teammate
o
The team must always be placed before one’s self, and decisions on andoff the court should reflect the fact that the team has been placed beforeone’s self. Strive to be the teammate that other teammates do not want tolet down.
•
Be a Great Competitor
o
When competing, combine a fierce competitive edge with a high level of mental toughness. Compete to the best of your ability without sacrificinggreat sportsmanship. Be humble in victory, recognizing that victory isnever achieved alone, and be gracious in defeat, using defeat as anopportunity to learn and grow as a person.
