Es un placer dirigirme de nuevo a los lectores de esta prestigiada publicación para hablar un poco de las maravillasturísticas que tiene un Estado de Progreso.Visitar Nuevo León es adentrarse en una ciudad cosmopolita llena de bellos contrastes donde encontrará desdela antigua arquitectura que distingue a nuestro país, hasta las más modernas edicaciones que hacen de lacapital de Monterrey y su zona metropolitana, una de las más avanzadas en América Latina.Al caminar por las viejas calles del Barrio Antiguo y disfrutar la más variada comida regional, nacional e interna

cional, o visitar los más exclusivos centros comerciales del mundo, comprenderá porque nuestra ciudad es unade las preferidas por los negociadores internacionales.Asimismo, podrá usted apreciar el moderno desarrollo que se ha logrado con la regeneración urbana del centrode la ciudad al integrar uno de los espacios más tradicionales del centro histórico, como lo es la Macropazacon uno de los parques más espectaculares del mundo que es el Parque Fundidora. Estos dos representativosespacios de nuestra metrópoli quedaron unidos por una verdadera maravilla arquitectónica e ingenieril: el PaseoSanta Lucía, que desde su inauguración en el año 2007 ha recibido a millones de paseantes de todo el mundo yque se ha erigido en un ejemplo más de la grandiosidad emprendedora de los nuevoleoneses.A estos atractivos turísticos se une una amplia oferta museográca recién enriquecida con el n de ampliar lagama cultural de la zona metropolitana y dar a los visitantes y residentes espacios de recreación y fomentocultural.Sin lugar a dudas las bellezas naturales que rodean a nuestra ciudad son entre otros algunos de sus grandesatractivos. Cola de Caballo, Matacanes, Chipinque, Grutas de García, el Bosque de la Estanzuela, son referentesobligados para los turistas que gozan de la naturaleza y que hacen de Nuevo León uno de los estados másatractivos de la República Mexicana.Todo esto se complementa con una oferta hotelera y restaurantera de primer nivel que unidos a la tradicionalhospitalidad de los regiomontanos hará que su visita sea única e inolvidable.Por todo lo anterior es para mí un orgullo invitarlos a visitar Nuevo León y comprobar porqué es un Estado deProgreso y motor de desarrollo en el noreste de México.Cordialmente ,

It is a great pleasure for me, once again, to tell the readers of this prestigious publication a little more about thewonderful tourist attractions of our state, whose watchword is Progress.
Visitors to Nuevo León will nd themselves in a cosmopolitan city full of beautiful contrasts, ranging from the
ancient architecture for which our nation is famous to the most modern buildings that make the state capital,Monterrey, and its metropolitan area one of Latin America’s most advanced cities. As you stroll down the streets of Old Monterrey, savor the wide range of regional, Mexican and internationalcuisine, or visit some of the world’s most exclusive shopping centers, you will understand why our city is amongthe favorites of international business and political leaders. At the same time, you will be able to appreciate the modern development that urban regeneration has achieved by integrating one of the most traditional spaces of the historic center, the Macroplaza, with Foundry Park,one of the world’s most spectacular public parks. These two representative symbols of our metropolis areunited by a marvel of engineering and architecture, the Santa Lucía Riverwalk. Since its inauguration in 2007,the Riverwalk has welcomed millions of visitors from all over the world, and it stands as an example of theentrepreneurial grandeur of the people of Nuevo León.In addition to these tourist attractions, our wide range of museums has been further enriched with a view toincreasing the range of cultural options available in the metropolitan area. Visitors and local residents alikehave more room in which to enjoy recreation and promotion of the arts.The natural beauty that surrounds our city are yet another of its major attractions. Horsetail Falls, Matacanes,Chipinque, the García Grottoes and La Estanzuela forest are obligatory references for tourists who delight innature. They also make Nuevo León one of the most attractive states in all of Mexico.
All of this goes hand in hand with a rst-rate selection of hotels and restaurants. Together with the traditional
hospitality of the people of Nuevo León, these establishments will ensure that your visit is both unique and unforgettable.
For all of these reasons, it give me great pride to invite you to visit Nuevo León and nd out why it is a State of
Progress and the driving force of development of the Mexican North-East.
