Karagdagang Sustansya at Katulong na mga Panggagamot Ang diyetang mataas sa fibre o fibre supplements tulad ng Metamucil ay nakakapagpabawas sa pagtatae. Napatunayan ding ang peppermint, nutmeg at luya ay nakatutulong sa pagtunaw ng pagkain. Ang peppermint, ginger tea, o ginger ale ay mainam ding inuming malinaw (clear fluids). The lifecycle of amoeba in humans

The condition is most commonly transmitted when a person starts eating food or drinking water that contains E. histolytica cysts from human feces. In the alimentary canal, the cysts get transported to the intestine where the outer layers of the cysts are broken and gets exposed by digestive secretions and thus, there releases the mobile trophozoites. Once secreted within the intestine, the trophozoites start multiplication by feeding on intestinal bacteria or by occupying the lining of the large intestine. Within the lining of the intestines, the trophozoites release a substance that demolishes intestinal tissues and creates a typical bottle-shaped sore or ulcer. The trophozoites might remain inside the intestines, in the intestinal walls, or may break through the intestinal walls and can travel through the blood into the internal organs such as liver, lungs, brain etc. Trophozoites that stay into the intestinal walls gradually form new cysts that are carried by the digestive tract and finally passed with the feces. Under friendly temperature and humidity considerations, the cysts can live in soils or waters for weeks to months and then again, are capable beginning the cycle again.

Classical definition of amoebiasis

Amoebiasis can be defined as an acute or chronic inflammation that is caused by the parasitic amoeba, Entamebahistolitica. This is generally contracted by water and any prepared foods infected due to poor hygienic condition and that might cause contamination. Causes of Amoebiasis
Amebiasis is solely due to infection of Entamoeba histolytica . In case, if a person has consume food or drinks water that contain microorganisms. One of the most common cause is that it spreads from infected person to other by stools or feces. This way, it is transmitted condition. The condition can also occur due to crowded living condition. Internal cause for amebiasis is due to spread through the blood to the liver, brain or other vital internal organs.

Symptoms of Aomebiasis

The symptoms are typical. A person infected with such condition has abdominal cramps, nauseating feeling, Fatigue etc. Few of the other symptoms include anorexia (Loss of appetite) and intestinal gas/flatulence or bloating. Typical symptoms of the condition include lose or watery stools, abdominal tenderness or mild pain and indigestion.

Severe symptoms of amoebiasis include:

Entamoeba histolytica spreading to other internal organs that includes the lungs or even the brain producing quite dangerous symptoms. In some severe cases, passage of liquid stools with streaks of blood can be seen. The amoebae gain access into the bloodstream and can travel to the liver and can finally form abscess called as liver amoebic abscess. It can produce profuse vomiting in severe cases. In some sever cases; the condition might end up in IBS - irritable bowel disease.

Treatment of Amoebiasis
Generally, amebiasis can be treated by antimicrobial medication; however, in severe cases such as amebic liver abscess hospitalization and surgery is required. In asymptomatic intestinal infection remedy, treatment using diloxanide furoate iodoquinol, paromomycin or metronidazol is quite common. In some milder cases, the condition can be treated with various natural herbs such as Emblica officinalis, belerica and Eclipta alba. Neem is also considered to be great disinfectant. One can use pills or decoction of those herbs in order to heal the diseases. Buttermilk is also considered to be good replacement therapy in Ayurveda. In some more severe cases of amoebic dysentery, the treatment involves supplementation of IV fluids with lots of other medications such as antacids, antinauseant and anti-spasmodic; they are either given orally or by injections. Ang AMOEBIASIS ay dala ng maliliit na parasito, ang amoeba na nakikita lamang kapag ginamitan ng mikroskopyo. Ang dumi ng taong may amoebiasis ay mayroong milyon-milyong amoeba na kung mapapunta sa kuhanan ng tubig o pagkain ay puwedeng makahawa sa ibang tao. Ilan sa mga palatandaan nito ay salitang pagtatae at pagtigas ng dumi (c onstipation) sa loob ng 5 hangang 10 araw. Masakit na pagdumi. Nakakaasar dahil sa sobrang sakit hindi ako makapagsalita ng maayos at marami akong gustong kainin na hindi ko makain dahil sa sakit. So sleep early, eat the correct kind of foods, take multivitamins everyday that contain vitamin c to build up resistance. Reply #12 on: November 28, 2006, 01:38:08 pm i use tawas before yung dissolved in warm water. it works. i use pyralvex as an alternative. apply it directly using a cotton bud. masakit pero tolerable. sa una, parang ipinatong mo lang yung gel pero try pressing a little pa rin hangga't kaya. do this before you eat. it also gives you relief so you can eat well. i do this 3 to 4 times a day. kinabukasan ng tanghali (or after about 6 to 7 applications), wala na singaw ko. When it's dry, use the cap brush provided and completely cover your mouth sore with it. Repeat as many times as necessary until it's numb so you can eat with no worries (more or less) If you no longer sound like a cat being run through the grinder that means it's working. Keep at it. Sometimes, I stick a 250mg ascorbic acid tablet on the sore (usually between the gums and lips). Ridiculously painful...but it gets numb rather quickly so okay lang. hi mommy! my baby also had diarrhea for 3 days 2 weeks ago. same as you, my mom also rushed him sa hospital (kasi I was at work that time). pero since active pa rin naman si baby and kumakain/dumododo pa rin, nothing to worry daw. parang pedialite din yung binigay niya na prescription and meron pang isa na parang nasa tube. isasama sya sa milk niya or kahit sa water. di ko lang maalala kung what's the name of that medicine e. pag-uwi ko later, post ko dito. don't worry mommy (although i know mahirap gawin yon as a mother . just give him maraming water para hindi madehydrate. if there is no sign naman na may nararamdaman syang masakit or naghihina sya, no need to worry.

Erceflora (bacillus clausii) its an oral suspension, anti-diarrheal of microbial origin (yan ang nakalagay sa box). sensya na talaga mommy ha... nagbday na ata si baby sofie... nalate na ata ang post ko... mommy, yan din prescribed ng pedia ko kay baby after he was hopitalized. buti nalang di ako nahirapan painumin kahit di ihalo sa food... =)

kami rin, kagagaling lang namin ng ospital. halos 3 days din sya ng LBM tapos umoeky naman. After a few days nagrecur yung diarrhea niya. nadehydrate nga kai nauulit yung diarrhea nang hindi pa nakakabawi yung katawan. pinaadmit nasiya sa hospital. ang medication namin nun, fluid and mineral replacement. nakaswero siya plus ipinagbawal yung mga sportsdrinks. dapat pala pedialie or glucolyte. tapos erceflora din at zinc replacement. nawawala daw kasi sa katawan and zinc at potassium, kaya maganda ang apples and bananas. ang goodnews mga mommies, may mga flavor na rin ang pedialite at glucolyte. yung pedia, may bubblegum flavor. yung glucolyte, orange naman. price-wise, may mura ang glucolyte, P15 per sachet (good for 250ml), yung pedialyte, P100+ para sa 500ml. pareho din na pang 24 hrs lang. i suggest you go with glucolyte dahil mas mura for the same effectiveness.

hi momy. yung baby ko nong 1 mo. to 2 mos. mdlas din magpoop din siya. ok lang naman un basta hindi watery, yung soft lang at color yellow. madali kc madigest ng babies ang breastmilk kaya madali rin lumabas. sa pag vomit naman at colic, hindi siguro nakaka burp c baby. ganon din baby ko nong 1-2 mos. siya. ang tagal pa naman niya mag burp pero talagang hinihintay ko mag burp bago ko pahigain.

ibinawal yung ibang sportsdrinks, di naman yata poati gatorade kasi nirecommend din siya samin ng pedia, kasi daw madaming sugar iyon para ma-boost ang energy ng mga athletes, yung sugar daw nagpapalala sa fluid loss (kung tama ang intindi ko ha), lalong lalala ang dehydration ni baby. try mo glucolyte, may orange flavor na ito. P15 lang per sachet, good for 25o ml na iyon. meron din pedialyte na flavored na, bubblegum at tutti-frutti, pero mas mahal ito, sis.

hindi ko alam kung ano ang tawag sa nararamdaman ko. ang mga sintomas ay palpitations or bumibilis ang pintig ng pulso ko, belching, may masakit sa tiyan ko sa may taas banda at lumalabo paningin ko minsan. help naman. gusto kong mapanatag ang loob ko. sabi ng family doctor namin hyperacidity daw iyon. dapat daw lagyan ko ng laman ang tiyan ko lagi at kumain ng marami o kaya every two hours at matulog ng tama. ang mga gamot na pinainom niya sa akin ay pantoloc para sa sikmura ko, inderal sa palpitations, at contylan (antacid na sa clinic lang nila available). sabi niya din ang panlabo daw ng paningin ko eh kasi nga gutom na ako ng oras na iyon. normal naman ang electrolytes ko, negative ako for hepa, typhoid, or salmonella. tapos na din ang 2 wks treatment ko for h.pylori. nahihirapan ako this past few days kasi madalas ko pa din maramdaman iyong palpitations ko na napaka bilis at kapag ganoon kumakain na ako at kapag hindi mawala iniinom ko ang inderal na as needed lang ayon sa reseta niya. iyong mga may kakilala o nakaranas na ng ganitong symptoms share naman kayo diyan oh. thanks.

for clarification, patients w/ peptic ulcer disease (PUD) experience stomach pains in the epigastric area (area above your umbilicus) starting at night till early morning (when the acid secretions peak) causing insomnia, relieved by food intake. these patients are prohibited to drink coffee, softdrinks, orange juice, chocolates, milk, advised to stop smoking. treatment consists of proton pump inhibitors (omeprazole, pantoprazole), h2 blockers, antibiotics (if you're h. pylori positive), cytoprotective agents. i was diagnosed w/ gastritis (manifestations similar to PUD but more difficult to treat) since january 2003, and i have it until now. sorry but ndi ako nakaranas ng palpitations at panlabo ng paningin nung nagka-gastritis ako. actually, i've been near sighted for 10 yrs now and kung napapansin ko na lumalabo ang paningin ko (at kasamang sakit ng ulo), i'd go to an optical shop to check my vision. ndi kaya hyperthyroid at may visual disturbances (near-sighted) ka since u said na may palpitations ka pa rin?

YUng palpitation, due to too much gas na nasa tummy mo, kase siguro sa mga nakakain mong food. Iwasan mo lang mga sweets, milk and sobrang fruits , veggies na mahirap tunawin kase acidic ka. Try mo na kumain ng konti lang, and then, lagi ka drink ng warm water pag nakakaramdam ka ng palpitation.Pag nag fart ka, yun na yun gas na nagpapasakit ng tummy mo at cause ng palpitation. Avoid sodas muna or cold water, for a week, para malaman mo result kung gas pain and indigestion nga lang yan. Tell me if it's effective okay? :)

YUng palpitation, due to too much gas na nasa tummy mo, kase siguro sa mga nakakain mong food. :) i have to disagree with this statement.. palpitation is described as abnormal heartbeat sensation, associated with a feeling of fluttering or thumping experienced by the patient. it could be a symptom of organic HEART disease (due to a change in the heart rate or rhythm, or strength of contraction), or of an overactive thyroid gland or could be anemia. even

healthy individuals experience it because of stimulants, caffeine, cola drinks, undue exertion, shock or excitement.

Well, i based these on my own experience 2 yrs ago. Been to lots of lab tests, but the only dose is to stay away from that gas causing rapid heartbeat. But i dont literally recommend that this is the best med for that, im just citing some tips at least to ease the pain for the meantime and thats why im telling her to observe for a week.. As for you soon to be MD, I respect your field since this is your forte.

why don't you seek a second opinion? last thursday 3/31/05, nagpasama ako sa ER sa mama ko malapit sa amin kasi nahirapan talaga ako sa palpitations ko. nilagyan lang ako ng oxygent at injection ng plasil para daw hindi ako masuka pero pareho pan din ang gamot na binigay sa akin, which is pantoloc (pantoprazole) tapos pinauwi din ako.

regptrp_md2b ipinagbawal nga niya sa akin ang mga nasabi mo. normal naman ang T3, T4, at TSH ko sa blood test.

you have hyperacidity but regarding ulcer - i'm not sure about that. kelangan magpa-endoscopy ka para malaman kung mayroon nga coz not all people who are hyperacidic have ulcer. duodenal ulcer pain is under the bracket of peptic ulcer disease. meron pang isa which is gastric ulcer pain. to differentiate between the two, you have to know the effect of food intake on the pain. if pain is relieved after food intake, that's most likely to be duodenal; otherwise, it's gastric. gets? like i said earlier, palpitations is a symptom of organic heart problem or over-active thyroid. meron ba kayong history ng heart problems sa family? ano ba talaga ang nararamdaman mo? palpitations or chest heaviness or both? chest heaviness could be attributed to your hyperacidicity or acid reflux to your esophagus.

nung first consultation ko basta ang sabi ng dok may kabag ako kaya ako may palpitations at nalilipasan ako ng gutom. wala daw sa oras ang pagkain ko tapos binigyan niya ako ng list ng food na bawal sa akin kasi nga nag positive ako sa h.pylori. binigyan niya ako ng reseta to treat h.pylori at two weeks kong ininom iyon (amoxil + klaricid). kapag gutom ako mahapdi at masakit ang tiyan ko. sabi niya kapag naramdaman ko ang palpitations kumain ako. dati meron akong goiter kaya kinuhanan din ako ng blood test sa T3, T4, TSH lahat naman normal. meron akong family history ng heart disease. ang papa ko may atrial fibrillation. ngayon kasi nga every hour kumakain na ako bihira ko na maramdaman iyong palpitations. iyong chest heaviness minsan na din kapag nararamdaman ko iyon nawawala kapag huminga ako ng malalim o uminom ng tubig. natatakot naman ako sa sinabi mo na GERD. sa ngayon kasi sinusubukan ko na hindi na uminom ng antacid ayoko kasing sanayin ang katawan ko sa gamot ang tanging iniinom ko na lang ay ang pantoloc ko.

question: how did ur doc know that you're h. pylori positive in the 1st place, kung ndi sya nag-conduct ng endoscopy sa 'yo? are you still taking your anti-thyroid drugs? from what i've learned, they're taken for life (well i might be mistaken for this). bakit ka matatakot sa GERD? it's curable, medically and behaviorally speaking. kinuhanan ako ng blood test kaya nalaman na may h.pylori ako, normal electrolytes, normal din ang T3, T4, at TSH. eltroxin ang gamot ko for the goiter. matagal ko ng hindi iniinom at sabi nga ng dok okay naman ang T3, T4, at TSH ko. takot ako sa GERD kasi feeling ko humihina na makina ko sa katawan. pero wala naman akong nararamdaman na reflux eh. kaya inisip ko hindi naman siguro GERD. ang pinaka concern ko eh iyon ngang kapag walang laman ang tiyan ko talagang mahapdi at mainit sa loob kaya kumakain ako agad at sabi ko nga every 2 hours eh talagang kumakain na ako ngayon. paminsanminsan ko na lang ma-experience iyon. hanggang kailan ko ba iinumin ang pantoloc ko? sa april 20 pa kasi check up ko simula ng march 17 ko pa iniinom ang pantoloc eh. ang tinigil ko na inumin ay ang antacid ko. salamat ha sa walang sawang pagsagot sa mga tanong ko :)

hanggang kailan ko ba iinumin ang pantoloc ko? sa april 20 pa kasi check up ko simula ng march 17 ko pa iniinom ang pantoloc eh. ang tinigil ko na inumin ay ang antacid ko. salamat ha sa walang sawang pagsagot sa mga tanong ko :) your doc will be the one who'll say kung itutuloy mo pa *** pag-inom or ndi na. most of the time, they don't follow what's written in textbooks. just be complaint with your doc's appointment & instructions.

kailan ba ako makakain ng chocolates? makakainom ng juice at milk? kapag ba pinatigil na pantoloc ko? pwede ka naman kumain ng chocolates but make sure na may laman ang tiyan mo (for example, after a meal) and not too much of it. that's what i do. :D the same thing goes for the juice. milk? well ever since i was diagnosed, i didn't drink this anymore. what i did was resort to ice cream, yoghurt, cheese for calcium.

even if pinatigil ka sa pantoloc, you still have to follow your docs instructions. mahirap pag nagrecur ang hyperacidity, PUD. and don't forget to eat on time.

pwede na din akong uminom ng mainit na drinks like milo sa umaga? kasi simula nung march 17 warm water lang ang iniinom ko sa breakfast eh sanay ako na naiinitan ang tiyan ko. iyong mga bawal sa akin pwede ko na palang kainin? kasi madami-dami din iyong nasa lists na binigay ng dok na paborito ko talaga tulad ng chocolate, tea, spicy food, hot food or drinks, soft drinks, etc. makakapag orange juice na din ako? thanks ha!

hindi ko alam kung ano ang tawag sa nararamdaman ko. ang mga sintomas ay palpitations or bumibilis ang pintig ng pulso ko, belching, may masakit sa tiyan ko sa may taas banda at lumalabo paningin ko minsan. help naman. gusto kong mapanatag ang loob ko. sabi ng family doctor namin hyperacidity daw iyon. dapat daw lagyan ko ng laman ang tiyan ko lagi at kumain ng marami o kaya every two hours at matulog ng tama. ang mga gamot na pinainom niya sa akin ay pantoloc para sa sikmura ko, inderal sa palpitations, at contylan (antacid na sa clinic lang nila available). sabi niya din ang panlabo daw ng paningin ko eh kasi nga gutom na ako ng oras na iyon. normal naman ang electrolytes ko, negative ako for hepa, typhoid, or salmonella. tapos na din ang 2 wks treatment ko for h.pylori. nahihirapan ako this past few days kasi madalas ko pa din maramdaman iyong palpitations ko na napaka bilis at kapag ganoon kumakain na ako at kapag hindi mawala iniinom ko ang inderal na as needed lang ayon sa reseta niya. iyong mga may kakilala o nakaranas na ng ganitong symptoms share naman kayo diyan oh. thanks.

-Naranasan ko na din yan, noong una akala ko may sakit ako sa puso kasi iba talaga ang kabog nung dibdib ko, parang kakapusin ba? tapos may naramdaman ako na parang plema na nakabara sa lalamunan ko and hindi ako natutunawan, agad ako pumunta sa ospital para di na lumala. tapos sa ospital pinahiga ako nung doctor at may mga pinipisil siya sa aking tiyan, pero wala naman masakit. Sabi nya heartburn daw. Nireseta nya sakin yung Magnesium Hydroxide (antacid) , Anti C holigernic ata di ko sure spelling at yung Pump Inhibitor. Makalipas yung 2 days nawala na yung palpitation ko at gumaan yung pakiramdam ng dibdib ko, so ang problema ko na lang ngayon is yung tummy na hirap matunawan haay.. vBulletin v3.6.12, C opyright 2000-2011, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.

ako naman ang reyna ng sakit ngayon ha. pati eto meron ako. sabi ni dok: every three hours dapat may laman ang tiyan. kasi daw acidic daw ako tapos pag bumabagsak ang acid sa tiyan at walang naaabutang pagkain na tutunawin, yung stomach ko mismo ang tutunawin niya. nung bata ako nakakita ako ng picture ng tiyan na kinain ng gastritis. ang panget. kulay white tapos parang butas butas. ewwww.

anyway, hindi ko kasi masunod yung three hours. at dahil sa allergy ko, sobrang limited na lang ang pwede kong kainin. biscuit queen na ako the past few weeks. chumika naman kayo kung may gastritis din kayo... hehe.

Eto si Ingge gaya-gaya ng sakit. Pagdating sa gastritis/hyperacidity, expert ako jan! Hahaha. Buti nga kayo nakukuha sa Kremil S. Ako kasi pag inatake, kailangan talagang i-confine sa ospital. Kasi kahit gamot sinusuka ko pag inaatake ako. Next time na lang ako magbigay ng mga tips. Tambak pa work ko eh. Basta kain lang muna kayo at wag papalipas ng gutom.

ako minsan pa lang inatake ng gastritis. uminom kasi ako ng pain reliever kahit walang laman ang tyan ko. ayun.. sumakit talaga siya as in. ingat lang po tayo sa iniinom nating gamot, usually kasi duon nanggagaling ang gastritis. lalo na kapag yung gamot eh nagiincrease ng production ng hcl.

^Anti-inflammatory siguro kasi hindi antacid ang Nidulid pero hindi ko rin sure. Generic name yon, Nimesulide ang brand name. Yon ang nireseta sa kin ng doktor para sa dysmenorrhea kasi nga hindi pwede sa kin ang Mefenamic Acid at Ibuprofen. Yun din ang nireseta sa mama ko noong nagpakonsulta sya dahil sa arthritis. Dati madalas akong uminom ng Ibuprofen (Midol). Yung last na inom ko, namilipit ako sa sakit ng tyan. Sabi ng doktor, nakakasira daw yon ng lining ng stomach kaya tinigilan ko. Baka nga raw yung madalas (every month) na pag-inom ko noon ang naging dahilan kaya lumala hyperacidity ko.

hmmmm gastritis problem ko din ito pero i have not taken any meds to heal it except when i experienced severe case of heartburn many years ago my doctor prescribed 2 kinds of medicines. From then on when too much acidity gives me too much trouble I just buy these meds over the counter. After a while I stopped taking it and started changing the way I eat. I started eating more vegies, yughort, fruits (papaya, pineapple) and fruit juices ( carrot juice is good! beware of the orangy color on ur skin though hehehe). And did some yoga exercises to help alleviate hyperacidity. Sa awa ng dios so I did nto take any meds nakatulong na man. anymore for years now. If i ate too much,though, bumabalik pero manageable na matakaw kasi
