Join Me in a Debate About Colorados Energy Future

Dear Representative Polis, Having received your letter regarding our recent legal action, I embrace your desire for further dialogue. To that end, I would like to invite you to participate in a series of public debates regarding Colorado's energy future. Our shared home of Boulder County is the obvious choice for the first of these debatesI know our neighbors would appreciate a public and civil discourse on this contentious issue. The recent lawsuits have only highlighted this fact. COGAs legal action is an unfortunate last resort, but we were left with no choice. The backers of these initiatives knew that their passage would likely result in costly legal action, yet proceeded. I can assure you that I take no pleasure in filing any lawsuits. I find it very encouraging that in your letter you stated, Like most Coloradans, I want your industry to thrive in our state. Clearly, I could not agree more and if provided the right opportunity, I am confident we can find much more common ground. I look forward to your response and starting this critical dialogue.
