The 25 man andthe 10 man raids are allfalling right into place assummer begins to cometo a close. Group threedowned Yogg-Saron for the guild first downingafter a very troubledstart off months ago.The same group whodowned Malygos for thefirst guild downing of that boss, group two,had its first successfulraid in months. But onegroup is still hiccuppinga little. Group one, mygroup, has wentthrough several healers inthe past month. All, for one reason or another,have disappeared on usand our latest healer hasleft us short on them onceagain.It is the end of the summer and much like our senior officers who have beenraiding for a long time havesaid, summer is always amajor speed bump for raiding because peopletaking time off, going onvacation and things of thatnature. However, as pre-dicted, as we get closer tothe end of the summer things are beginning tolook brighter.Collectively as a guild our 25 mans have been goingamazingly. We havedowned several newbosses in the past coupleweeks and downingRazorscale again after avoiding him for amonth or two. I am per-sonally proud of thisachievement as I wasthe one who stratted outthe raid placement.

Group 3 is the first group to successfully down Yogg-Saron on 10 man raiding.

By JacketIt was cold and Jacket couldhear the wind blowing.His head hurt.He opened hiseyes, the faintshapes circlinghigh above hishead at firstblurry, thensharpening intothe silhouettes of protodrakes.Squinting, hecould just barelymake out thefierce bluewomen astridethem.So, he thought, Iam on my back atthe base of theTemple of Storms.I wonder how I got here?“Hey guy,” said a smallvoice, “That was quite acrash. You all right?”Jacket grunted, heaved hishuge bulk to his feet andlooked around. The scenethat greeted his eyes lookedlike the result of a goblinexperiment gone awry. Hewas standing in the middlean impact crater and every-thing he owned was strewnaround like so much bombdebris. There were pots,pans, food, bandages, trin-kets, his Horde flag, hisspare set of armor with asmall chicken perched atopthe helmet, several deadsnakes, a broken lance,some mining equipment andeverything was coated witha thin layer of vaporizedbourbon from several ex-ploded jugs. In the verycenter of the crater lied hisprized red drake, its neckbent almost double, clearlyvery dead.“Wow, we must have beengoing a hundred miles anhour when we hit the side of that mountain!” Jacketturned to find the speaker but saw no one.“Down here you great oaf.”He looked down but sawonly his spare helmet and asmall chicken. The chickenwas regarding him with onebeady little eye, its headcocked to the side in themanner of its kind. Then,very distinctly, the chickenspoke.“What’s ‘amata? You never saw a chicken before?”Jacket bent down to get acloser look. Like all Tauren,Jacket’s massive frame wasnot built for subtlety, so hismail armor rattled andclanked as lowered himself like a slow avalanche to akneeling position, his hugehead only a few inches fromthe little chicken.“By the Earth Mother,” herumbled, “you can speak?”“Oi! Your breath must beone hundred proof!” Thechicken fluttered backward.“Did the crash rattle your brain? Do you not hear mespeaking now?”“Where did you comefrom?”The chicken looked horri-fied. “You mean you don’tremember? You bought mefrom that lady in the Shim-mering Flats. You boughtme, then stuck me in your bags and never took me outagain. That was threefreek’en years ago! At first itwasn’t so bad in there.There were ice cold milkand bread or fish to eat butabout a year ago youstarted eating all kinds weirdstuff. What exactly is a rav-ager dog? And one time Ihad to eat a weird fish be-cause it was the only thingleft and it turned me into atiny pirate for an hour! Any-way, I’m not going back inthere ever again.”Jacket looked at thechicken, then looked at thedestruction around him.
