The Company
The PGA TOUR is the leading organiser of many of golfs main events in North America. Founded in 1929 as part of the Professional Golf Association of America, it was spun off in 1968 into a separate entity specifically for tour players. As of 2013/14, the PGA TOUR organises 51 week-to-week events, including The Players Championship and the FedEx Cup events, as well as the biennial Presidents Cup. It also runs the main tournaments on four other tours: the Champions Tour, Web.com Tour, PGA Tour Canada, and PGA Tour Latinoamrica. The PGAs ambition is to entertain and inspire fans, deliver substantial value to partners, create outlets for volunteers to give back, generate significant charitable and economic impact in the communities where we play, grow the game of golf and provide financial opportunities for PGA TOUR players.

The Role
The PGA presently has an opportunity for a Director of International Business Affairs in their International Business Affairs department. This position will be responsible for helping the PGA TOUR grow its overall international business. Primary focus will be on Asia and the Americas, including their new businesses in Latin America and Canada and their new office in Beijing. Amongst the PGA TOURs five tours, there are presently over 30 events staged outside of the United States, with 80 player members hailing from 22 nations outside of the U.S playing on the PGA TOUR, and a sponsorship base made up of a diverse base of global companies. With an ever-growing international market for both players and sponsors alike, the Director of International Business will play an influential role in continuing to expand the PGA TOURs global footprint.

Responsibilities
Primary areas of work will include working with multiple areas of the PGA TOUR to build our International elements for: Competition position Digital and TV Audience growth Sponsorships - in coordination with Business Development teams Relationships with various International constituents Growing our International information and knowledge Collaborate with all other PGA TOUR departments on International business initiatives

Coordinate communications, updates and information sharing among the various Tour departments who operate Internationally Develop knowledge base for international strategy and business needs

The Candidate
Qualified candidates will have the following: Bachelors degree required. MBA preferred Minimum 7 years work experience International business experience is a plus Sports, media, brand management, or sponsorship experience preferred Strong analytical and quantitative abilities Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills Bilingual/multi-language skills a plus
