Complaint of Michael Pinson against Paul Marshall Phillips
TFB
 No
 2013-10,093
 (13D)Dear
 Mr.
 Lovell,
Please
 be
 advised that
 due to
 what appears
 to
 have been rumors that
 I may
 have
 filed
 a
 state
 Bar
complaint against Mr. Philips, he suddenly mailed a check for the
 funds
 in
 ull
 that was received
after
I had mailed the complaint to the State. The check was received in
 July
2012.What I do not understand is why Mr. Philips mailed the check in July and back dated the checkto June 20, 2012, when it should have been mailed in the beginning of June 2012. Why did ittake a bar complaint in order to get him to return these
 funds?
Also, Mr. Phillips made the check payable to my attorney as an
 individual
and did not make thecheck payable to my attorney s law
 firm
or his trust account. This is yet another example of veryquestionable business behavior by Mr. Phillips. I believe that when you connect the dots of hispast behavior, that
 he had the
 intention
 to
 issue
 the
 check incorrectly, hoping that
 I
 would have
my
attorney return the check back to Mr. Phillips to be issued correctly where I would endureeven more legal
 costs
 dealing with
 his
 unprofessional
 and
 even reckless behavior.
 My
 attorneypersonally signed over
 the
 check
 to his law
 firm
 account
 and
 resubmitted
 the
 payment
 to me to
help
 correct
 this.
How in the
 world
 can
 attorneys
 get
 away with such behavior
 in the
 State
 of
 Florida?
 It is
thistype of behavior that is costing Florida employers higher legal and business
 costs
 that is harmingjobs
 in our
 community. Receiving
 these
 funds
 does
 not
 release
 my
 complaint concerning
 Mr.
Phillips.. I
 respectfully
ask the State Bar to investigative all of Mr. Philips activities in theoriginal complaint.
 It
 appears that
 Mr.
 Phillips
 may be
 abusing
 his
 status
 as an
 Attorney
 to
potentially
cover under Attorney privilege, his direct non-attorney business and/or
 financial
relationships with
 Mr.
 Peter
 Schorsch,
 news reporter Noah
 Pransky or
 others
 as he has
 threatened
using
these two business relationships to attack people if he did not get his way in legal disputes.
