FORK NEWS SUMMER 2009
his is the first
FORK News
to be produced as an e-newsletter – andit is the 50th issue, which is another landmark. The reason for thechange from print to screen is simply that the printed version hasbecome too expensive to produce. Members who do not have email willstill receive a printout by post. The electronic newsletter will be posted on the website as soon as it isready, which is another benefit. Recent newsletters have not appearedon the website, for which as Editor I must apologise – I just have notfound time to convert them to the format needed. This new format canbe sent straight to the webmaster, Stephen Andrews, so it will reach awider audience.Yet another advantage is that we can now enjoy a bit of colour withour news of the river – and Lyn Dunachie has provided a gloriousembroidery for the cover of the first colour edition. The website, by the way, has been developed and improved evenfurther by Stephen, so if you have not visitedwww.fork.org.ukrecently,now is the time to do so!
