I

am often asked whether I also vacation in Austria. Of course I do! Just as often I\u2019m asked what makes a holiday in Austria different from holidays in other
countries. If we are speaking of winter it\u2019s easy to describe the differences. Mountains, snow, and fresh air are probably not unique to Austria. In Austria the
mountains are friendly because of the lodges on them that offer the traveler on skies or snow shoes refuge. Here you find the warmth and joviality of the innkeeper
and the happy atmosphere of a day of skiing in Austria. We can be proud of the quality and infrastructure of our lift facilities and that the sleeping accommodations
measure up to any international standard.
But winter in Austria is more than skiing and tours on snow shoes. You can walk in unspoiled nature and crystal clear air or ease into the warm water of thermal
spas to escape your cares. You can see an opera, dance your way through the night at a ball or discover handiwork at a Christmas market. All of this is winter in
Austria. Winter I always associate with the joys of great eating and good wines that let me forget about the cold. I invite you on the following pages to embark
on your own personal winter journey of winter experiences. I wish you a wonderful winter holiday.

Yours, Petra Stolba
