Overview

It is an interesting thing to find everything on the web. We don’t need to go from placeto place for learning, buying and selling and even for entertaining with music, films or games. All this is provided by the Internet with its facility World Wide Web. We use a Browser likeInternet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox to browse pages from Internet, from our network place oreven from our own computer. How are these pages created? Can we also create pages like that and browse from abrowser application? If you save a web page from Internet using the browser’s File drop downmenu, then the next time you can open it from your computer. But if you click on a link onthat page only some of the links may work. How are the contents on these pages written? Let’s see the source from the browserapplication. Move your cursor to the View option on the Menu Bar and select the optionSource. It’s a huge content? What is this language? If you try to read it, at least you’ll be able toread part of it. But it seems little familiar and we can easily grab the pattern of writing. Youcan see “<” marks and “>” marks covering meaningful words and within two terms as thatyou see a paragraph, a sentence, a phrase, a word or a character. Is there a way to write all those stuff quickly and accurately? Yes, there are computerapplication packages and by using one like that you’ll be able to author a fully interactive, attractive and a professional looking web page without knowing anything about an authoringlanguage.
