th
anniversary of the birth of Fray Bartolomé de las Casas. Bartolomé de las Casas was a 16
th
century missionary and theologian who travelledto the Americas and was the first European advocate of the indigenous people of America and the first to opposetheir enslavement and oppression.The collection is composed of thirty lithographs, each celebratingan article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The artistsare ten famous painters: Canogar, Chillida, Clavé, Guerrero, Le Parc,Matta, Motherwell, Saura, Tamayo and Tapies.
