Every day is Ground Hog Day in Wonderland 01005 where the nonprofit madness never ceases.
No. 4 Schoolhouse Inc. ... The Barre Museum Association Inc. ... Barre Police Association ... Barre Emergency & Rescue Squad Inc. ... Barre Library Association and now add the Barre Historical Society.

The Town of Barre is paying to build a carriage house addition for the nonprofit to store its belongings.

It's an estimated $65k project. No public records can be found affirming any vote at town meeting to appropriate taxpayer money to a 501(c)3 - regardless of its purpose.

The architect of record is Steve Van Dyke, the president of Nault Architects Inc. in Worcester. Mr. Van Dyke coincidentally resides in Wonderland.

The Nov. 13, 2013 Central Register even memorializes how the pre-bid conference was held at 18 Common Street, home of the Historical Society.

The Society's board of directors are the following: Dan Stevens (BEARS fame), Peg Frost (Board of Health fame), Sue Fullam (BEARS fame), Lester Paquin (BLA Barre Museum fame), Margaret Marshall (BEARS fame), Ed Yaglou, Audrey Stevens (BEARS fame), Ronald Potter, Bertyne Smith and Barbara Finan (of Concord MA)...

It's all on pg 11.
