Extracts manufacture
The required tools are common in any kitchen. A inox steel 2 liters container, agraduated jar (1 liter), a 1 gm scales, 10 to 50 ml measurers, wide opening glasscontainers (250 to 500 ml), up to 1 lt capacity bottles or flasks, small plasticcontainers (20 to 100 gm) with airthigh lids, manual or electrical mixer as for meringue or mousse.Plants to be used have to be dry, as they are sold in specialized shops. If justcropped herbs are to be used they should to be properly dried before.
Lemon skin alcoholic extract wash, rinse and dry 4 lemons, peel the skin with littlewhite, put the skins in a 500 ml. glass container of wide opening and fill withalcohol 96°. Maintain for 20 to 30 days in a airtight closed container, gently shakeseveral times, each 2 to 3 days.Hamamelis dry aerial parts aqueous extracts 20 gm. in 500 ml. of drinking water,soak for 1 / 2 hour and simmer for 10 minutes, let stand for 1 hour.
