I have been running the Custom CycleControl SAS-10 Air suspension system for6 months now and I have say I amextremely dissapointed with it..................ithas now crapped itself and I have put theoriginal shocks back on with a slightincrease in damperpressure.....................and am now getting areasonable ride..............I purchased itoriginally so that my wife and I could fit atravel pack on the rear and go touringTasmania etc.....................but the damnthing did not last!The SAS-10`s were great in the 1st monthor so and I had a lot of fun lifting andslamming the rear of my Fatboy and got alot of comments about how cool it lookedon runs etc................however, it wasalways bottoming out and I was constantlyraising the suspension again..................andafter paying 1600US I am not a happychappy......................Another brand I have come across is theShotgun Shocks air suspension system andI think that these guys have got ittogether.................................a design thatfinally makes sense................instead of pumping up the rear suspension, theShotgun Shocks system actually pumpsdown, so that if you run out of air thesuspension actually lifts up to its highestset height...................that way you do notbreak your back if the suspension dropsout..........................They also have a system for springer frontends..........................Ozroder

from a satisfied customerI am extremely pleased with the shotgunshock air ride system i have installed onmy bike, firstly the instructions are clearlylaid out, with all parts and wiring labelledso anyone with slight mechanic ability(and a bike lift!)can easily install them,secondly the quality of the shock isawesome at a price that doesnt requiremortgaging the house!, they also offermore adjustability than other air shocks onthe market, ride height and firmness whichgives you the best o f both worlds in thatyou can lower your bike, but soften thesuspension so you retain comfort, which isnot possible when lowering a softail withnormal bolt lowering kits. I tested the kitout on a 600km round trip ride down thegreat ocean rd. in Victoria, aside fromputting on a show for the tourists at the 12apostles, i got to test the suspensionthrough the twisties and the shotgun shock performed beautifully!! Great productwould definately reccomend people in themarket for airide suspension to check outshotgun shock first!Available from Custom Central Brisbane
