Methodology
Sampling Total population is 1000 N = 1000 The researcher will randomly select students from 4 courses B.Ed TESL, B.Ed Physical Education, B.Ed Arts and Design and B.Ed Science The researcher will use stratified random sampling to get the sample from the population
The total population of students from the Faculty of Education is 1000 students B. Ed TESL 600 students B. Ed Physical Education 200 students B. Ed Arts and Design 100 students B. Ed Science 100 students Total : 1000 students N = 1000 The researcher wants a sample population of 200 students n = 200 So 200/1000 = 2/10
To create a sample size of 200 students we need 2/10 from each course so: B.Ed TESL 2/10 x 600 = 120 students B. Ed P.E 2/10 x 200 = 40 students B. Ed Arts 2/10 x 100 = 20 students B. Ed Science 2/10 x 100= 20 students n = 200 The researcher will use random number table to choose the students
i) How many books the students read per week ii) How many hours they spend on reading per week - below 1 hour - 1 2 hour - 3 4 hour - more than 4 hou
