two witnesses

days of the 2,520-day Tribulation Period, the Two Witnesses of Revelation 11prophesy to the world:3 And I will give power unto my Two Witnesses,
and theyshall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescoredays
, clothed in sackcloth.4 These are the Two Olive Trees, and the Two Candlesticksstanding before the God of the Earth.Revelation describes the two witnesses as two olive treesand the two lampstands standing before the Lord (11:4).Not surprisingly, an Old Testament passage contains these images. Zechariah saw a vision of asolid gold lampstandwith a bowl at its top containing seven lights. By the bowls, one on each side, were the two olivetrees
(4:2-3).

Andafter three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet;and great fear fell upon them which saw them. And they heard a great voice from Heaven saying untothem, Come up hither. And they ascended up to Heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. Andthe same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake wereslain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of Heaven.
