I’m often tempted to blame myimpatience on my personality (veryType A) and move on from ever touching on this topic again.
I dohave things to do, you know.
I just exclaimed the words, “I’mthe busiest person I know! I don’t havetime for this,” to my husband, whileformatting a magazine ministering onthe theme of patience.That should keep me off anypedestals for a good, long while.The thing I’m learning about myidentity in Christ is that who I say I amis very different from who He says Iam.I say, “Kristen Schiffman? She’s aType-A, impatient, feisty girl who is indire need of some caffeine.”He says, “Kristen Schiffman? She’lltake on the shape of patience once Ifinish molding her. Just you wait andsee.”We sell ourselves short when weblame sin (plain and simple) onpersonality type.This issue has challenged me tolay down my flaws before Christ andallow His Spirit room to move andmold me.And that was just during theproofing process.I am thrilled to feature two of myblog buddies, Patty Wysong ofPatterings and Isunji Cardoso of TheQuiet One.My favorite things about onlineministry are the friends you make.Isunji will make you laugh out loudand Patty will help you find theordinary to be extraordinary.A stand out article for me thismonth was Kara’s in which she writes,“Oh to let the Holy Spirit coursethrough our lives forever transformingour hard brittle souls into somethingthat is breathtaking in beauty.” Iencourage you to read her words onpage 24. You will be marked with ahunger to offer Him more. I canpromise you that.I’d also like to thank ChristyMcGraw of CrittyJoy for offering her photography to our magazine thismonth.
