About this ebook
Mike has many Japanese friends, speaks Japanese (badly) and often visits Japan. He has noticed that the conversation flows more freely after a few glasses of sake. He is then told stories he might not otherwise hear. In this free ebook he recounts some of these stories and gives advice for independent travellers wishing to visit Japan. The book is illustrated with lots of pics.

I either started off on the wrong foot or I'm the legendary rolling stone. Normally, a degree in astrophysics does not lead to a stint in Parliament House, public relations and the diving industry but that’s what happened to me. I'm now retired in the sense that I no longer need to work for a living and that gives me time for writing. My messy life has provided a lot of background material for my novels. My main interests are history, travelling and meeting people.
