The Google logo is a very simple logo made up of a simple font and some basic colors. It seems almost amateurish. The simplicity of the logo could possible represent the simplicity of the search engine. There are numerousdebates/discussions on the web about the google logo. One discussion centeredaround the two O's in Google, representing infinity. The logo was designed by Ruth Kedar. The logotype is based on the CatulltypefaceEvery once in a while, you will see the Google logo change to represent a current topic e.g TheOlympics, World Cup etc. These logos are called Google doodles. The doodles are currentlycreated by Dennis Hwang and he has created over 150 doodles since he started working atGoogle. Apparently, the first doodle was produced by the founders Larry and Sergey. The logowas created when they attended the Burning Man festival in summer 1999. They put a little stick figure on the home page logo in case the site crashed and someone wanted to know why nobodywas answering the phone. The House of Chanel, more commonly known as Chanel, is a Parisian fashionhouse in France founded by Gabrielle Bonheur "Coco" Chanel. Chanel isfamous for its line of perfumes, clothing and fashion accessories. The Chanellogo is an overlapping double 'C' - one facing forward and the other facing backward. This comes from the name Coco Chanel."Coco" is the nickname frequently used by Chanelfounder, Gabrielle Chanel. The logo was not trademarked until during the first openings of Chanel stores. The history of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle began in Milwaukee in 1903.The Harley Davidson logo is certainly one of the most famous logos in theworld and the fans of Harley take pride in the bikes. The logo is popularlyreferred to as the "Bar and Shield" logo. I have been unable to find muchinformation on the origins of the design of this logo. Once I do find someinformation, I will update this page.
Harley-Davidson also licenses its logo, which is a profitable side business ($41 million of revenue in 2004, or almost 5% of net income. So the next time you purchase a Harley Davidson belt buckle, pen or sticker, part of that would go to the Harley Davidson company. Also, everyHarley-Davidson dealership has a shop logo, a design that says something about the dealershipand which sets it apart from every other dealership in the world. The next time you drive past aHarley store, look for its store logo tooThere must be very few people who do not recognize the Nike

logo. With a big arsenal of superstars such as Michael Jordan,LeBron James, Andre Agassi, Shane Warne, Maria Sharapova,Venus and Serena Williams. This list is pretty long. The companytakes its name from the Greek goddess of victory, Nike. The popular Swoosh logo is a graphic design created by CarolynDavidson in 1971 for $35.The logo represents the wing of the Greek Goddess. The Nike logo is a classic case of a companygradually simplifying its corporate identity as its frame increases. The company's first logoappeared in 1971, when the word "Nike," the Greek goddess of victory, was printed in orangeover the outline of a checkmark, the sign of a positive mark. Used as a motif on sports shoes sincethe 1970s, this checkmark is now so recognizable that the company name itself has becamesuperfluous. The solid corporate logo design check was registered as a trademark in 1995. The Nike logodesign is an abstract wing, designed by Carolyn Davidson, was an appropriate and meaningfulsymbol for a company that marketed running shoes. The "JUST DO IT" slogan and logo designcampaign communicated such a strong point of view to their target market that the meaning for
the logo design symbol evolved into a battle cry and the way of life for an entire generation. Isn'tit amazing how a small symbol we call a logo design can make a company into a huge successThe Ford oval trademark is one of the best-known corporate symbols in the world and has been inregular use for more than 50 years. The script trademark dates back to the very beginning of thecompany when Henry Ford’s engineering assistant developed a stylised version of the words“Ford Motor Company”.This last logo is the blue oval that Ford released in 2003 in honor of the 100 years Ford Motor Company had been around. It was named the "Centennial Blue OvalCisco Systems is the world leader in manufacturing of Network related equipment. The name "Cisco" is not an acronym, but anabbreviation of San Francisco. According to John Morgridge, employee 34 and the company's first president, the founders hit onthe name and logo while driving to Sacramento to register thecompany -- they saw the Golden Gate Bridge framed in thesunlight. The name cisco Systems (with the lowercase "c") continued in use within the engineeringcommunity at the company long after the official company name was changed to Cisco Systems,Inc. Users of Cisco products can still see the name ciscoSystems occasionally in bug reports andIOS messagesBMW stands for Bayerische Motoren Werke or Bavarian Motor Company. The company was established in 1913 and based in Munich, Germany.
