WHAT IS MIND MAPPING?

Mind mapping is a popular brainstorming

tool and learning technique of visually
arranging ideas and their interconnection.
It can be used to graphically arrange the
linkage of some central concept or issue
with the other concepts or issue into
memorable treelike diagrams.
MIND MAPS
• The human brain is very different
from a computer.
• Where as a computer works in a
linear fashion, the brain works
associatively as well as linearly -
comparing, integrating and
synthesizing as it goes.
STRENGTH OF MIND MAPPING
• Simplicity (Easy of use)
• Associative (Any idea probably has
many links)
• Visual (Easy to remember)
• Radial (Allow you to work in all
direction)
• Overview (Helps to see the big
picture and relationship between
issues)
MIND MAPS CAN BE USED FOR
:
• Problem Solving
• Outline / Framework Design
• Anonymous collaboration.
• Marriage of words and visuals.
• Individual expression of creativity.
• Condensing material into a concise
and memorable format.
• Team building or synergy creating
activity.
SEVEN LAW OF MIND
MAPPING
1. Start in the centre of a landscape

2. Use an image or a picture for your

CONCLUSION
The type of mind mapping that you
make and the guidelines you follow
should be influenced by the reasons
for building the map and the use you'll
make of it, not by what someone tells
you that you should do.
