 This year we are very excited tohave new extracurricular activities. Math & Logical Thinking Club will be offered for students from 1st thru 5th grade. The club will take place every Thursday at 3:15-4:15 The Math Club will focus on developing logical think-ing, introducing mathconcepts according to the age, providing tools forproblem solving, and much more.Debate Club will introduce children to many kinds of debate and sharpen their arguing skills. Mr Ruffin willbe leading this club. The club will take place every Tuesday at
 3:15-4:15Don’t forget to sign up at the first PTO meeting on September 10th.
 Apple Tree Fund RaiserWalk-a-thon
On Friday, October 30th Apple Treestudents will take part in a fund raiser  for the school hosted by the PTO. Stu-dents will accept pledges and then walk laps to raise money for science equip-ment. A percentage of the funds raised will be donated to the Broward Community Food Bank.Please join us indonating to both worthwhile causes.Children may wear Halloween cos-tumes on this day.Please no weapons, bloody or scarycostumes. Let’s keep this alighthearted festive occasion for thestudents.Children may bring a change of clothesif they would like. Costumes are op-tional.

Hurricane NoticeDuring hurricane season, please visit the school’swebsite. Also, please note that if Broward CountyPublic Schools are closed, we will be closed.However, once a storm passes and the school haselectricity, water, and the roads are clear, theschool will open for regular hours.
