Former Candidate Brackhaven Killed in Accident

A tragic turn of events on New Years Eve as Kenneth Brackhaven was returning from the official Metroplex New Year Party when his car was blind sided by an intoxicated driver. Brackhaven was rescued from the vehicle by DocWagon but was declared dead at Seattle General after heroic attempts were made to resuscitate him. Brackhavens driver suffered serious injuries and the driver and passengers of the car that crashed into the vehicle were both proclaimed dead on the scene. Brackhaven had recently announced his intention to run for Metroplex Governor which was to be his return to politics after his 2057 Presidential run.
William Ager, Brackhavens VP during the 2057 campaign said, American has lost one of its greatest leaders tonight. My sympathies go out to his family and all of America. A memorial service will be held on Monday evening. Donations to the Americas Youth Forward charity in Brackhavens name are suggested by the family as a memorial by those wishing to honor his memory.

New Year - New Music Braves Cold

The first New Year - New Music celebration sponsored by Rebel Entertainment is to continue despite the predicted storm. We will be doing more with matrix-streaming concert viewing, said Mo Nguyn, Chief Technologist for Rebel Entertainment. We want people to be able to enjoy the music even while safe at home. The outdoor concern planned for downtown has been rescheduled for the 25-26 Jan weekend but the twenty-four club and theater-based shows from FriSunday will continue on schedule. Gossamer and the CIA, Jack Entropy, I-5 and Maria Mercurial are among the headlining acts scheduled to play over the course of the event.

Arctic Storm to Bring Ice and Freezing Temperatures

All current models predict that winter storm Hekate will sweep over Seattle and as far south as Tir Tairngire bringing temperatures as low as -9 and wind chills dropping effective temperature to -27. Snow and ice buildups possibly more than 12 cm are anticipated and Seattle International Airport is predicted to close. All people in the Metroplex are advised to limit their exposure to the cold. Metroplex community officers are working tirelessly with neighborhood organizations to help weatherize building and protect vulnerable members of the community. Joint Task Force Seattle and Knight Errant are mobilizing for emergency operations as needed.

Local Rocker Outed as Shadowrunner

The popular local singer Moonshadow has been outed as a shadowrunner after he used his personal helicopter to airlift a car out of jammed I-5 traffic. The Tir registered car was later recovered along with two injured passengers, who refused to press charges, from a nearby lot.
Other sources have revealed images and data files placing Moonshadow at or near various shadowrunning events as they happened. Italian Fashion Designer Otto Bimini has confirmed that Moonshadow was involved in the creation of Biminis 69 Shadowrunner inspired fashion range. Moonshadow has continued to deny his involvement in illegal activities and no actionable material has yet been publically revealed.

Deadly Multicar Pileup on I-5 Deliberately Triggered

The trailer truck that jackknifed on the northbound I-5 on the edge causing a 14-car pile up that caused three fatalities and eight injuries was remotely operated and deliberately crashed say Knight Errant Traffic Investigators.
Evidence has confirmed that the vehicle that triggered this multivehicle collision was operated by remote, said Lt. Nichols. We are working on tracing the individual behind this and seeking way to prevent such vile actions from happening again.

Stress to play the Hurricane in Havana

Hoping to do better than the one-all tie that they achieved in Seattle, the Stress plays the Hurricane on their home pitch in Havana this Friday. The Hurricane have been the winning underdogs all season, undefeated in most of their home games but the Stress needs the win if they hope to win the league.
