Description

Moving particles exhibit wave nature. A beam of particles behaves as wave in Particle diffraction experiment, Slit experiment and Davisson and Germer experiment and these are what Davisson and Germer and Thomson observed in their experiments.
But, without knowing the structure of particles (their “standing- field lines”) they blindly supported the de Broglie's “matter wave” theory and this was the beginning of many misleading theories in the history of physical science. Uncertainty principle, standing waves, electron clouds, quantum mechanics, wave mechanical model of atom etc.
