Acrocanthosaurus
1.
Begin with a square, white side up, with both diagonals precreased.
Valley fold the lower left side to thehorizontal center line, bisecting theangle on the left corner, but creaseonly where the fold intersects thelower right side. Unfold.
2.
Valley fold the bottom corner tothe center of the square, againcreasing only on the right side.Unfold.
3.
Valley fold the bottom point up sothat the intersection of the edge ofthe paper and the angle bisectorfrom Step 1 lays on the crease linefrom Step 2. Rotate the paper 180°.
4.
Reverse fold the top sides in tothe center line, creating a smallpreliminary base at the top. Thenext diagrams are enlarged.
180°
5.
Valley fold the sides of thepreliminary base at the top to thecenter line and unfold.
6.
Petal fold on the creases fromStep 5.
7.
Valley fold the petal back down.
8.
Valley fold the lower edges to thecenter, bisecting the lower point oneach side, and unfold. Because ofthe proportions used in Steps 1-3,the side corners of the paper shouldlie right at the lower tip of the petalfold at the top when the edges areat the center line.
9.
Valley fold the top point (includingthe bird base assembly) downalong a line that connects the topsof the angle bisectors from Step 8.This crease should go across thevery tip of the petal fold. Unfold.

10.
Valley fold the entire model in half, right side over left. Rotate themodel 90°counterclockwise (thethick point including the petal foldwill be on the left).
90°
11.
Valley fold the thick point at the leftdown to the bottom point andunfold.
12.
Valley fold the thick point at the leftdown to the intersection of the edgeand the angle bisector from Step 8and unfold.
13.
Double reverse fold the thick, leftpoint inwards on the crease fromStep 11 and back out on the creasefrom Step 12.
14.
Valley fold the upper part of thepaper (including the upper part ofthe thick, petal folded assemblyinside) as far upwards as it willnaturally fall.
15.
The result. Unfold the top flapback down.
16.
Turn the paper over fromside-to-side.
17.
Fold the top flap up again, as inStep 14.
18.
Turn over from side-to-side.The next diagrams areenlarged.
19.
Valley fold the left half of themodel (top flap only) over theright, creating a vertical lineconnecting the top andbottom points, and unfold.
20.
Squash fold the left handpart of the upeprmost flapto the right. The lower leftpoint of the fold lies wheremany layers are lockedtogether.
20.
Squash fold the left hand partof the upeprmost flap to theright. The lower left point ofthe fold lies where manylayers are locked together.

Valley fold the top flap at thelower right of the squash tothe vertical central line andunfold.
21.
Swivel fold on the crease youmade in Step 21. Anadditional valley fold will bemade that connects thecorner at the lower left andthe upper end of the creasemade in Step 21.
22.
Wrap the small flap on thesurface underneath.
23.
Valley fold the topmost flap onthe right over to the left, incorporating a rabbit ear inthe triangle.
24.
Unfold the flap and rabbit earfrom Step 24. Turn the modelover side-to-side.
25.
Fold the petal at right back up along the existingcrease.
