Tie It Up and Chalk Snapping
  by Juli Clark (scrapberry@yahoo.com)
The Perfect Bow
:1/8 inch hole punch, 4x3 scrap of CS, and 22" organdy ribbonPunch 4 holes in the shape of a diamond as shown in the picture. I marked the holes withnumbers for reference, you will not number your holes.Put one end of ribbon into the #1 hole from the front, and pull ribbon through about 8" on the back side. Repeat with the other end of the ribbon into the #2 hole. This should leave you with aloop on the front side.Take one end of the ribbon, and push it through the #3 hole and the other through the #4 hole.Pull until all of the ribbon from the back is against the CS, leaving the loop in the front. Now itshould look like the ribbon in the second picture.
Push center of the loop against the CS between the 2 ribbons. Hold in place while you use the 2ribbons to make a knot over the ribbon loop. Make a 2nd knot, and trim ends of ribbon. Thereyou have your perfect bow!
Trimming Ribbon Ends
:ScissorsSimply cut on an angle to cut off the frayed edge. Depending on the look you want, you maywant both ends the same length, and other times it is nice to trim one end longer than the other.Another way to trim the ends is to make an inverted V. To do this, hold the tip of the ribbon inyour non-cutting hand. Fold the end of the ribbon in half lengthwise, so the two sides of theribbon meet. Then at the folded side, place the scissors, and cut at an angle toward the tip. I drewa line on the ribbon indicating how to cut it. Let go, and you should have an inverted V as shownin the photo.
