First of all I would like to thank to The Almighty Allah S.W.T because giving me an
opportunity to finish my assignment and help me to succeed the task that have been
given to me .Then, I would like to thank to our lecturer Mdm.Faridah Bt. Tahir because
she gives me the task and tell me what to do in order to finish the task.
I also would like to thank to my fellow friends because give me support and
information in order to find the resource that is useful to my assignment. Beside, to the
person who also involve behind me to finish up the assignment according to time that
has been given.
This assignment is a very hard task, when we tried to figure out many thing and
to give back an opinion regarding the article that is choose by ourself.As we know the
practice make us perfect, and that is the point where this assignment are given like this
way.
Last but not least, we must realized that our work and skill are moving together it
also involve practice as the key to achieve success.

3.0 Personal Response

Do you believe that music can actually change the world? It also can make the
world goes round; we can see how music can conquer and influence the world. No
matter local artist or foreign artist they are influencing their identity, images and figure in
the society. Fashion, lifestyle and the way they present to display same and influence by
the music, even nowadays, they used music as a medicine to treat emotion
problem.Sounds very interesting about music is it?
I choose the theme based on entertainment and pop culture.The first article is
about The Beatles, an immortal name in the world of entertainment and had brought a
very huge impact to the world of music. They are the example of a successful artist that
had brought up the new line of music. Then, second article is about Bob Marley, a
Jamaican, singer-songwriter, musician and so on.He also became a member of
revolutionary’s. He grew up with a racist shock but he is a legendary to the Rastafari

movement as that had influence the music culture. Lastly it is about the article of the
power of the music that causes effect tohuman life, including the emotion, physically
and psychologically.
Music is keep changing and going along the time. At the beginning, we found out
that music is about entertainment. For example, The Beatles actually turned down by
the Decca Recording and also other recording company. But they keep on trying until
they succeed as a pay of hard work. At that time all school girl and boy in British know
about them.Then, music is also used as a weapon to obtain justice, how? Bob Marley
keeps on moving to fight the racist that had threatened the Jamaican people. The
capitalist used them as a slave and as we know already about the black and white keep
fighting with each other. Bob succeed to gain the right for the Jamaican as he utilized
music to express the point of view on that matter. Music therapy is a new research
indicates that the music is a method to cure people. Human of different age will feel
more convenient and relaxing when undergoing the treatment. The specialist has prove
that the music bring a fresh and great feeling to the patient physically and
psychologically.
My point of view about three articles that I have chosen is, music does exist as
an element of entertainment only, but it comes as one package that includes lifestyle,
fashion and culture. As we perceive the situation from good old day until nowadays.We
see the influence of music on the fashion of wearing bell bottom trousers, polka dot skirt
and now we have indie, rock, ballade, R&B and so many genre of music that also
influence other fashion to pop up. The upbringing culture like Rasta, or well known as
Reggie by having dreadlock hair style, adore Bob Marley as their idol. It is now lingering
in our society. However we have to look back on the effect of this culture whether it is
good or vice verse to our society. Music already stick with our lifestyle long time ago-
since we was born, our mum used to sing a song to make us sleep. At that time music is
already exist but they are represented in different way.For example music that are used
to pray to God by the people who are believe in such way. I mean, some religion have
their influence on song and music that are used to pray their God.
Although music is part and parcel of our life, as much as we know, music is a
human creation, and we must know the one that cannot be replaced is the Power of
God.

4.0 Reflection

When I get this assignment, the first thing come out from my mind is, what kind
of information that I should put in or other kind of fact that is suitable with my opinion
writing and the article that consist of 1000-1500 words.
I see my lecture, and ask her on how and what sort of thing that she want me to
acquired in my assignment. Then she told to find three articles that have the same
overlapping theme and any related information that I have to collect.
I start looking for article, first I do some research on the daily newspaper. I
decide to choose entertainment and pop culture theme. That day I heard a song that
sing by the famous Rasta Movement, Bob Marley. Then I found out at the Rolling Stone
Magazine that is the special edition about the 50 Immortal artists like The Beatles, The
Cardigan, Jimmy Hendrix, Elvis Presley, Bob Marley and other 45 artists.
No wonder they all had brought a very big impact not just on the music industry
but in the lifestyle, fashion and also culture. The old day ago we can see people used to
had a Elvis hairstyle.Wearing a trousers that is big cut at the bottomed a.k.a bell-
bottomed.
In this assignment I realize that the music is also important to our self. Every day
we may heard new song new fusion of music, that is something that we cannot expect.

But the way the artist represent the music is an universal kind of stuff. So, we may
accept, what kind of music that suit us.
I hope my opinion and my explanation in my assignment are correct can be
accepted. The err is human, if there is any problem in my assignment I hope it can be
pleased and can give chances to do some correction. I accept it in order to fulfill my
assignment criteria and quality.
