Tuna Net Chain is then continuously Hot DipGalvanized to provide the deep strong protectivecoating you have come to expect which has over30% more zinc per unit volume than mechanicalcoating. In the hot dip process the galvanized zinccoating is alloyed with the base steel creating aMETALLURGICAL bond that is several orders ofmagnitude stronger than mechanical bonding.This zinc-steel bond is immune to further corrosionfor the life of the zinc. If the chain’s steel base isexposed by cuts or nicks, the base steel will notrust until the nearby zinc is consumed.
