Uganda!!
I am currently scheduling meetingswith churches, small groups, BibleStudies or individuals interested inhearing about what God is doing inUganda, and how they can join methere. If you, or anyone you know, would like to know more, feel free tocontact me!
The needs around us are so great. The5:00 news is quick to tell us everythingthat is wrong with our world. We arebombarded for 30 minutes abouteconomic woes, corrupt leaders, waracross borders, and unemployment.Depending on where you live, even thesports segment can break your heart. And the thing that gets me is that after allthis, at the close of the newscast, we are
told to “Have a good night.”
As I prepare to move to Uganda, there aremany issues that are heart-breaking andseem insurmountable. But in the midst of them, I am challenged to choose tobelieve that God is still a God who is full of compassion and mercy, doubtlessintending to work everything together forgood. This is the only way to avoid livingdefeated in the midst of hard times. In John 4:50, a man came to Jesus, pleadingfor his son, who was close to death. Upon
hearing his plea, Jesus replies, “You maygo. Your son will live.” And with that, theman “took Jesus at his word anddeparted.” No questions. No more
pleading. He chose to believe that whatJesus said had come to pass.
 And
he didnot receive confirmation until the next day.
The man dared to believe that Jesus’ word
was enough. He dared to believe Jesus hadto power to do what he said. This particular newsletter focuses onprayer. You will find specific things to prayfor. And as you pray, I wonder if you, likethe man in John 4, will dare to take Jesus athis word. Will you dare to believe that Heis still able to heal the sick, redeem brokenlives, and bring light to darkness? Will youdare to believe it in your own life as well?Enjoying a day in Philly with newfriends from Sicklerville NJ
