. But the Jews wanted proof. According to the Law of Moses, Jesus needed a witness to speak on His behalf. So Jesus told the Jews that Moses had written about Him. Fourteen hundred years before Jesus was born, Moses wrote, “The Lord your God will give you a prophet like me. He will be one of your own people. Listen to him.How was Jesus like Moses? They were both prophets, priests, lawgivers, and leaders of men. They both taught new truths and new commandments. And they both performed miracles. After Philip met Jesus, he found Nathanael and told him, “Remember that Moses wrote in the law about a man who was coming. . . . We have found him. He is Jesus.”
