A new Commission of the Peace for this County directed to William KENNON John BOLLING William GAYRichard ROYAL William KENNON Junr. John ARCHER Richard EPPES Seth WARD John ROYAL WilliamEPPES Robert GOOD Henry RANDOLPH Edward OSBORNE junr and Robert KENNON Gentlemen and aDedimus potestates for administring the Oaths &c both bearing date the 12th day of May last were openly readWhereupon the said Richard EPPES and Seth WARD Administered the Oaths appointed to be taken by Act of Parliament instead of the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy and the Abjuration Oath unto the said JohnBOLLING and William GAY which they took and then subscribed the said Abjuration Oath and also the Test antthen the said Richard EPPES and Seth WARD administered unto the said John BOLLING and William GRAY<sic> the Oath of Justice of the Peace and the oath of a Justice in the County Court in Chancery which theylikewise took and then the said John BOLLING and William GAY Administred the said Oaths to the said RichardROYAL William KENNON junr. John ARCHER Richard EPPES Seth WARD Edward OSBORNE junr. andRobert KENNON who in like Manner took the same and subscribed the said Abjuration Oath and Test And thenthe said John BOLLING and William GAY adminstred to them the said Oath of a Justice of the Peace and Oath of a Justice of the County Court in Chancery which they likewise took.
