Objects and Aims of the Avondale – Waterview Historical Society
To encourage and promote the studyof and interest in history generallyand of and relating to the Districts of Avondale and Waterview and thesurrounding districts in particular,and including the history of tangatawhenua.
) To collect and take steps to ensurethe protection and preservation of re-cords pictures books pamphletsbuildings and all objects of historicinterest.
To take steps to ensure thepreservation of sites and places of historic interest.
To record in permanent form articlesproceedings discoveries and resultsof historical research and to publish a journal.
To co-operate and work with or joinany other Society or Societies havingobjects similar to the above.
