The sensitive and justice-loving students and other members of the University community have been protesting against this arbitrary decision of the University authorities. However, the callousness of the MU administration has been on show since the beginning of the protests. The University is going to hold its Convocation ceremony on January 12, where numerous eminent personalities have been invited. However, we believe that when such dictatorial and high-handed methods of the authorities are tormenting the academic community of the university, it is not the time to hold ceremonies. It is the time to raise our voice against the draconian ways of the MU administration. University Community for Democracy and Equality (UCDE), is going to organize a SILENT PROTEST on January 12, Sunday to express our indignation at the MU authorities' undemocratic ways. Our shrill silence will be heard and will embarrass those who tread the path of despotism. Let our silence be heard, friends! Let us express our solidarity with Prof. Hatekar! Let us defend the democratic space of the University! Please, join the Silent Protest in huge numbers.
