Summary
Sleeperz Hotels Ltd have received planning consent for the construction of a newhotel (Application No. 04/0194) at the corner of Saunders Road and Penarth Road,Cardiff.The Glamorgan-Gwent Archaeological Trust (GGAT Projects) was commissioned toundertake the watching brief on all ground works. This took place between 24th Apriland 19th June 2007. A section of Cardiff’s medieval town wall was revealed and recorded. A number or largely unstratified finds of post-medieval date were collected and retained. Other archaeological features and deposits recorded included a post-medieval wall and industrial deposits of a similar date.
