For-tunately, each service has a Personal Financial Management program that can help you keep your finances in good shape, save for the future, improve your credit and resolve financial problems. Although financial planning services can be very expen-sive in the civilian world, the financial services offered at Fleet & Family Support Centers, are available at no cost to service members and their families.

It’s That Time of Year Again….
 
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance/Electronic Filing (VITA/ELF) program is available to ensure service members and their dependents receive the support they need to file their income tax returns correctly and on time. The program provides free tax
-
filing assistance to active duty service members and their dependents, retir-ees and their dependents with adjusted gross incomes of less than $57,000, DoD ci-vilians overseas or deployed with the U.S. Armed Forces, and in limited cases, mili-tary reservists. solving skills that can reduce stress in the workplace or in personal relationships.
 
Long deployments, frequent moves, and mission readi-ness demands impose many stresses on military fami-lies, often leading to marital and parent child conflict. Concern for the welfare of Navy families and the ef-fects of family violence on military performance  prompted the establishment of the Family Advocacy Program.
 
The Fleet & Family Support Program (FFSP) offers  prevention, identification, treatment and follow
