Yesterday we putup our Anderson shelter, but I didn’t think we would have to use it thissoon! The bombs are falling left , right and centre. My forehead is buring and myear drums are rattling from the wailing siren, whirring plans and bombscrashing and buring causing whole houses to fall.My hands are writing as I write this, and my little brother is wailing,clutching his teddy bear tighter than ever, delirious with fear. Our Border Terrier, Chamberlain, is barking constantly and only stopping when Ismooth down his fur and stroke his ears. My mother is wearing a thickcoat, rocking backwards and forwards, biting her nails, waiting for the allclear and father to come home.As we sit here, a noisy spt fire comes overhead, then just for a moment,all is silent...then the sounds start again.
