Event Details
Just for youth aged 14 to 18. This is a weekly club for home schooled children. It will run until the end of April. Red Cedar is British Columbia's Young Reader's Choice book award. Every year thousands of children between grades four and seven from across the province are invited to read books from the nominated lists and vote for their favourite. Toddlers Too (& Caregivers) Drop-in. Improve literacy skills as we learn letters, words, numbers, colours, sharing and singing with books, puppets and interactive activities to encourage learning. (Weekly) Baby & Me (& Caregivers) Drop-in. Learn about language right from birth with or just right for baby time as we use songs, board books, nursery rhymes, letter knowledge and new technology to explore pre-literacy skills together. The winter session begins. This is a free program running Wednesdays for children three to five years old. Stories and crafts, free drop-in program. (Runs until the end of May) Travelling to Cuba with Deb and Pat Radolla (Full waitlist only) All ages themed story time Drop-in. More stories, puppets, songs, poems and crafts based on seasonal theme. Children under three must be accompanied by an adult. (Weekly) The winter session begins. This is a free drop-in program Fridays for children under three and their parents. Join us for simple stories and rhymes. (Runs until the end of May) Just for Youth aged 14 to 18.

The class will explain how to download e-books from the British Columbia Libraries catalogue. The steps on how to download the software, activate and sign out e-books. People can bring in their laptops and e-readers, but it is not a requirement. After school activities include stories, reading, crafts and games. For children five to eight years old. Program introduces parents or caregivers and their babies and toddlers (newborns to 36 months) to the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs and stories together. Pre-school story time. Children three to five years of age In our preschool story time the boys and girls will enjoy stories, songs, interactive activities and crafts. After school activities include stories, reading, crafts and games. For children aged nine to 12 years old. Pre-school story time.
