Greetings Dear colleagues!
As we know, the basic concept of cosmetic or aesthetic surgery is different from that of plastic surgery. Thats because, though it has developed into one of the plastic surgery fields, it covers all of the surgery departments including ophthalmology, otolaryngology, dermatology, general surgery, orthostatic surgery, breast surgery, OBGY and so on. For this reason, this field is at its early stage where it should be established correctly as a specialty. Whats more, doctors who try to start learning cosmetic surgery desperately need a systematic and reliable training program. But, unfortunately there is no place where they can get such programs in Asia. Now two representative countries that have regular educational programs especially in the field of cosmetic surgery are United States (AACS) and Australia (ACCS). These programs are, however, operated by general medical committees or societies like KCCS, not by the government organizations. Moreover, the most important thing is that these two programs are not for Asians but for Westerners. KCCS has been trying to set up an educational system for the fields of Asian cosmetic surgery since 2006. KCCS hereby will launch Korean cosmetic surgery fellowship course as below. Anyone that completes this course will be granted Diploma of KCCS and get a qualification for the examination of Korean Board of Korean cosmetic surgery depending on experience. This will be a golden opportunity to enhance your cosmetic surgical knowledge and skills.

1) Nine week-program(3 or 6 days per week) :Monday~Saturday (1) Basic compulsory practice course for cosmetic surgery(3 days) including structure and aging process associated with aesthetic sense, photograph, consultation,preparation of consent form, wound healing and suture technique, injection technique, selection and carving technique ofallograft(facial, nose, breast etc), postoperative care and follow-up,and general management of complication. (2) Compulsory pre-examination course for KCCS fellowship(3 days) Lecture for the written and oral examination, and a preliminary examination test. (3) Regular classes : 8 week-program minimum on 3 days basis. Compulsory Course(3days) / Optional Course(3days) An applicant can choose 16 subjects (13 compulsory course + 3 optional course within 11 subjects) (However, If Diploma course participant wants to take more subject besides required courses, Participant should pay $1,500 per 3 days.)

3) Compulsory course: Cadaver Dissection course of KCCS (1)Anyone who has already completed the course can be qualified but anyone else should complete the course within the training period. (2)Cadaver Dissection course registration fee(around $3,300) is not included in Diploma course fee.
