Other Tournaments
The following travel tournaments are not part of the regular tournament schedule. Students do not have to attend any of these tournaments to fulfill their requirements for the course. All requirements can be met by participation in the league and local invitationals.
To attend these tournaments, the semester donation must be made in full and the majority of costs associated with these tournaments are paid by the student participant.

Contests Lions Club, Topic: TBA, First level of competition begins in February Rotary Four-Way Speech Contest first level of competition at the club level starts end of Feb Topic: TBA. Five-minute speech. Awards start at $100 for first place at the club level and move up at each succeeding level American Legion National High School Oratorical Championship The purpose of the program is deeper knowledge and appreciation of the Constitution of the United States on the part of high school students. There is a state and a national tournament (April). Optimist Club Topic TBA, Five minute speech for students who are not 16 years old before January 1, 2014.
