Background

[U] Assistant U.S. Attorney Dave Novak and his team provided a briefing to Team 7 on
the airphone and cell calls made from aboard VA Flight 93 on 9/11. This information
was derived from an exhaustive study of the GTE airphone records from Flight 93 (with
expert technical assistance from GTE engineers), and from an examination of the cell
phone records of each of the passengers aboard 9/11 who owned cell phones. This work
was conducted in support of the U.S. Justice Department's criminal case against Zacarias
Moussaoui.

can be made from the aircraft at anyone time.
