This exam is conducted by the UPSC of India. This test is for the recruitment of engineers to the four categories of the Engineering fields. These are the Civil,Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics and Telecommunication branches of Engineering.The moment you have been appointed you will get to work in the various posts ingovernmental organizations. This will be the Indian Railways, Central EngineeringService, Survey of India, Indian Ordnance Factories Service (Engineering Branch),Military Engineer Services, Indian Telecommunication Service, Central Power Engineering Service, Central Water Engineering Service.There is immense scope in these jobs as every facet of a citizen’s life is touched by theengineering marvels be it the roads and bridges to the trains that run.Eligibility for Combined Engineering Services Exam:
Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from any recognized University.
The age should be between 21 and 30 years on August of the year in which theexam is conducted.
Be an Indian citizen.
There are certain concessions that are given to Scheduled Caste and the physicallyhandicapped based on age.
How to Apply:
1.The notification for the Combined Engineering Exam is published in almost everynewspaper usually in the month of December or January.2.Once the notification is out, you can go and get the Application Form and the brochure from any post office on a payment of Rs 100.3.Fill out the application form and mail it to the Secretary, UPSC.
